Nearly 200,000 citizens say no to weakening EU environmental laws

In just 10 days, nearly 200,000 of you spoke up for nature. In July 2025, the European Commission opened a call for evidence to ask whether environmental laws should be weakened in the name of efficiency. Through the #HandsOffNature campaign, citizens flooded the page with messages opposing any rollback of EU environmental laws, instead demanding stronger protections for wildlife, public health, and our planet’s future.
